As part of Hong Kong’s 2026 opera season, Opera Hong Kong will present two iconic Italian verismo masterpieces, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana and Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, in a powerful double-bill production from 8 to 11 October 2026 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre.

This iconic verismo pairing brings together two of the most celebrated Italian operas of the late 19th century, exploring themes of love, betrayal, jealousy and revenge through emotionally charged music and dramatic storytelling. It is one of the key productions in Hong Kong’s 2026 opera program.

Kate will be making her house and role debut, singing Santuzza.
